Rebirth of a Band

I recently did a photoshoot for a hard rock band based out of Fayetteville, Ark named Scorned. Scorned delivers high octane hard rock and metal that is heavily influenced by bands such as Metallica and Megadeth. Originally founded by lead guitarist, Jay Biggs, back in 2001. The band took a break for a few years while Jay served in the United States Army with tours in Iraq.

Upon his return to the United States and discharge from the Army in 2010, the band was re-established and hit the Northwest Arkansas music scene hard for the next 8 years, playing shows in the region and nationally almost every week and released a full length album in 2011 and several singles over the years.

Eventually there was a bit of a falling out between members and they took a break from Scorned to all pursue different projects for the next few years. During this time, they learned new skills and became more accomplished musicians overall. But there was always that pull back towards where they knew they belonged.

In late 2022, Jay, vocalist Cody Slane, and drummer Dave Combs began planning the rebirth of the band. With a renewed passion for the music and the brotherhood they had built over the years, Scorned is currently working hard to finished a new album, produced by John LeCompt of Evanescence fame, that is slated for release later this year (2023).

In February, Scorned hired me to do a fun photoshoot for them as promotion for their rebirth and upcoming album release. You can check them out here.
